      • About our Keynote Speaker, Nicole Salzano

        Nicole Salzano, a proud graduate of Bryant University’s Class of 2018, was both a dedicated team member and captain of the university’s swim team. During her championship meet, she suffered a massive stroke that forever altered the course of her life. Through resilience, competitive grit, and the unwavering support of her family and friends, she has made extraordinary strides in her recovery.  

Today, Nicole is an advocate dedicated to raising awareness about strokes, aphasia, and blood clots. As a stroke survivor living with aphasia, she brings a unique perspective to her work— grounded by her own experiences, compassion, and connection. She volunteers at Adler Aphasia Center, where she supports members with an understanding only a fellow survivor can offer. Beyond advocacy, Nicole shares her love of swimming as a coach for the Wyckoff YMCA Sharks and as a swim instructor at Hackensack Meridian Fitness and Wellness Center. Pre-Convention Nurse Educator Program will be held on Wednesday, March 25, facilitated Dr. Maria Flores Harris, KeithRN and the NJLN. 

Our Pre-Convention program invites nurse educators and nursing education students to join us. This will be a session you won’t want to miss!
